Denali Delights

Receive a personal greeting upon arrival in Anchorage, followed by private transfer to Talkeetna with your driver/guide.  Along the way pass through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, one of the most agricultural areas in Alaska. The drive features expansive views of alpine peaks and valleys, rivers and streams, and vast pine and birch forests. Depending on your arrival time to Anchorage you may consider adding a stop at an active dog sled kennel. Relax at your hotel this evening and take in the views of Denali – weather permitting.

Overnight in Talkeetna.

This morning watch the sun rise over the Alaska Range as you enjoy a cup of coffee from a local Talkeetna café. You may choose to talk a walk around the nearby lake or try some tasty treats at a local roadhouse. When you are ready, continue north with your private driver/guide deeper into Alaska’s interior. There will be time for one last stroll around the park entrance before boarding the Alaska Railroad’s GoldStar luxury dome rail cars for passage south to Anchorage. Upper-level seats give you views high above the tree tops with spectacular panoramic views of passing scenery and nearby wildlife. Lunch and dinner will be served onboard in the private dining car.
